In its 25th anniversary year, the MSS Program at the International Space University in Strasbourg France, brought together graduate students from many countries with training in different disciplines to study space. During this time, two team projects were completed, with one being the Search for Intelligent Life in the Universe.
This team of 21 people, represented by 17 countries, started to investigate the topic of the search for extraterrestrial intelligence. It was perhaps the first time that this number of graduate students formed a team for such a large quest. The team was composed of professionals with expertise in many disciplines, including engineering, science, law, and management.
